We Put People First

Our Workforce

Our employees are the cornerstone of our success. To support them in their work, we are committed to building a workplace that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion; prioritizes safety and well-being; and nurtures professional growth. Our employee benefits and development programs, equitable pay practices, and intentional recruiting efforts help us attract and retain a diverse and talented workforce across all of our locations worldwide.

Global Employee Distribution

Employee Management and Development

We believe that all of our employees deserve access to opportunities for growth and advancement. We provide a variety of resources to support employee well-being and career progression, including comprehensive benefits packages, tuition reimbursement, employee resource groups (ERGs), and professional development opportunities. Our employees also receive regular training on ethics and compliance, cybersecurity, and diversity and inclusion as well as other topics related to their roles. We encourage open communication between employees and their managers so that each team member’s goals and priorities are understood and supported.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Our global workforce is a diverse team that represents a wide range of identities, ages, ethnicities, life experiences, and perspectives. We value the unique perspectives that our employees bring and appreciate how they enhance our ability to collaborate, innovate, and bring new solutions to market. Our approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is outlined in our policies, programs, and initiatives, which include mandatory DEI training as well as ERGs to support our employees.

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where every employee feels respected, valued, and empowered to bring their authentic self to work. We host regular events and workshops that celebrate diversity, promote cultural awareness, and provide forums for employees to engage in meaningful discussions together and learn from one another’s experiences. Discrimination and harassment of any kind against our employees or business partners is strictly prohibited. Our employee handbook details our anti-discrimination policy, which emphasizes equitable treatment and fair practices in recruitment, promotion, performance evaluation, compensation, and training.

We are committed to equitable hiring and promotion practices and believe that all Penguin employees deserve equal access to opportunities for growth and advancement. We partner with nonprofits, industry groups, and educational institutions that promote diversity and inclusion, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-serving Institutions (HSIs).

Our Diverse Workforce

Wellness, Health, and Safety

We know that our ability to deliver exceptional products and services is contingent upon maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees. Our commitment to health and safety and accident prevention is reflected in our comprehensive policies and programs, which are in effect worldwide.

We equip all employees with appropriate tools and resources and encourage a companywide culture of occupational health and safety, communication, and accountability. We comply with all relevant workplace safety legislation and maintain ISO 45001 certification (or the equivalent) at all of our sites. We require all of our employees to complete a safety training program as well as additional job-specific trainings on topics such as fire prevention, crime prevention, and emergency response.

Our health and safety program helps us keep safety-related incidents to a minimum across our facilities worldwide. We consistently implement practices that reduce instances of injury and strengthen our culture of workplace safety.
